Provincial police have made one arrest and are still looking for another person in a so-called "grandparent scam."
Police are looking for a 39-year-old Laval man, Nicolas Grenier (left), while the other man, 34-year-old Adriano Pezzi, is due in a Joliette courtroom on Wednesday.
Police say the two stole $500,000 from seniors across the province, by posing on the phone as their grandsons, saying they were in trouble and needed money.
They allegedly asked for $3,000 to $4,000 each time, and are accused of scamming 130 people.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the case is being asked to contact the Sureté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
