Montreal police are investigating a shooting in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough that sent two men to hospital early Monday.
According to police gunshots were heard at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Mont Royal at about 12:30 A.M.
When police arrived at the scene they found a 31-year-old man, shot in the upper body.
He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.
Officers also noticed a vehicle fleeing the scene. After a small chase the car pulled over at the corners of Notre-Dame and Robert Bourassa.
Inside police found three men, all aged 25; one of them had also been shot. Investigators said the man was not shot by police and was hit at the first scene.
The man was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.
The other two were arrested and will meet with investigators.
