Former Parti Quebecois leader Pierre Karl Peladeau has filed a $322,000 lawsuit for harassment and invasion of privacy in connection with his last romance, which ended in October when the woman he'd been seeing for several months took her own life.
Peladeau's lawsuit alleges that the woman's ex-husband acted vindictively to sabotage the relationship from the very beginning. The Quebecor boss accuses the man of sending threatening and denigrating messages to him and releasing private details about the relationship to La Presse.
According to the Journal de Montreal, the lawsuit also alleges that the ex-husband allied himself with PKP's former wife, Julie Snyder, to bring the fledgling relationship to an end.
