October is pedestrian safety awareness month.
Quebec's auto insurance board has launched a pedestrian safety campaign, which includes ads on TV, radio and social media.
Mario Vaillancourt of the SAAQ told CTV the number of victims is rising.
"In 2017, we had 69 pedestrian deaths on the roads. That was seven more than the year before", said Vaillancourt.
It's estimated seven pedestrians are injured daily on Quebec roads.
More than a third of such incidents happen in the fall.
