A woman was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon while attempting to cross Marcel-Laurin Blvd. at Thimens Blvd. in St-Laurent.
Police say the woman was waiting on the median when she was hit by a truck turning into a nearby construction site.
Both the pedestrian and the truck driver were obeying traffic lights at the time of the accident.
The woman, between 50 and 60 years old, was rushed to hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
The truck driver was treated for shock.
Marcel-Laurin Blvd. was closed for several hours between Thimens Blvd. and Poirier but has since re-opened.
