An elderly woman was killed Thursday evening while crossing the street in Parc Ex.
Police say it happened at about 7:30 P.M. on Saint-Roch between Stuart and Birnam.
Investigators said the 87-year-old woman was not at a crosswalk and was struck by a car heading westbound as she crossed.
She was taken to hospital with serious head injuries where she later died.
Investigators say speed was not factor.
Saint-Roch was closed for several hours as accident investigators went over the scene.
According to police the incident was the 21st fatal collision in Montreal of 2017.
