As people across Canada were just learning of Karla Homolka's involvement with a private Christian school in N.D.G. some parents were already well aware, and had already voiced their concerns to school officials.
According to the Montreal Gazette, at least two of the parents who criticized Homolka were told by the school not to come back.
Andy Maraj told the newspaper his daughter is in a class with one of Homolka's children, but only learned of her involvement with the school in March, when another man warned parents. Maraj said he was upset the school allowed her inside and let her interact with children.
Maraj contacted the school in April with his concerns. In May he said he was sent a letter advising him his family would not be welcomed back to the school in September.
Stéphanie Deligne told the newspaper a similar story.
Deligne claimed the school never informed parents about the situation, and when she found out also raised concerns. Deligne said she was told to find another school for the next session.
Homolka had been invited to speak with the children in one class about knitting, and on a second occasion she brought in her dog for show and tell.
