A St. Louis company is recalling its pacifier and teether holders because they can pose a choking hazard to young children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in conjunction with Health Canada said the snap Dr. Brown's Lovey pacifier and teether holders can detach from the pacifier's ribbon.
The group said about 590,000 units were sold in the U.S. and about 10,500 units in Canada.
The holders are available in various styles including: giraffe, zebra, turtle, reindeer (special holiday edition), frog (special holiday edition), spring bunny (special holiday edition), deer and bunny.
The recall affects the following product codes (which can be found on the tag attached to the holder)
There have been 67 reports of the snap detaching but no injuries.
