P.K. Subban returns to Montreal this week as his Nashville Predators play the Habs at the Bell Centre on Thursday night.
On Wednesday, he'll be back at the Montreal Childrens' Hospital, at the atrium named after him, to receive an award from Governor-General David Johnston.
He is due to receive the Meritorious Service Decoration, and the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers.
Subban was traded to the Predators for another superstar defenceman, Shea Weber, last summer. Subban, meanwhile, remains on the board at the Children's Hospital Foundation — to which he pledged $10 million.
He also remains a hospital spokesman.
