Once again, P.K. Subban came through this holiday season with an extravagant surprise for sick children—but even though it was for children in his new hockey home, he got some help from his favourite elves at the Montreal Children's Hospital.
A video released Christmas Eve shows the charismatic defenseman surprising a group of children from the Vanderbilt Meharry Centre for Sickle Cell Disease in Nashville, Tennessee with a sleigh-ride through town, a visit to the Nashville Predators team store at Bridgestone Arena with teammate Roman Josi to pick out anything they wanted, and a private concert from country star Dierks Bentley.
The kids also got letters written from their new pen pals at the Montreal Children's Hospital, who helped Subban prepare his surprise for the youngsters in Nashville.
Called the Subban Sleigh this year, it was the third holiday season in a row that the former Habs player had prepared a festive surprise for sick children.
