P.K. Subban is missing another two games because of an undisclosed upper-body injury, and if he misses any more he will have to wait another few months for a reunion on the ice with his former Montreal Canadiens teammates.
The Nashville Predators face off against the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues in back-to-back matchups Thursday and Friday.
The team announced Wednesday that their new star defenseman will miss at least those two games, on top of the five he has already sat out of because of his injury.
If he misses any more, he will not suit up against his former club when the Habs come to the Bridgestone Arena next Tuesday.
If Subban does not play, his next and potentially only chance to face his former club on the ice—barring a Stanley Cup matchup this spring—is a Montreal home game against the Preds in March.
Subban was traded from the Canadiens in a blockbuster off-season deal for then-Preds captain Shea Weber, among other pieces.
