One of the victims of a double shooting murder west of Montreal has been identified.
Police said he's 45-year old Joseph Fluet and apparently had biker gang ties.
"He was recently released from prison after serving a sentence for making threats. But, at this point, police don't have much to go on, not even a description of the getaway car. We're still waiting to identify the 2nd victim to understand more about what happened here, she says. Police want to figure out if this was some type of gangland settling of accounts and, if so, who did it", reported CTV's Rob Lurie.
The two were found badly-injured Thursday in Vaudreuil-Dorion, but died later in hospital.
Fluet was named in a 2014 report in La Presse as having ties to the Rock Machine, and had been arrested, along with other gang members, for possession of prohibited weapons.
Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Ingrid Asselin would not confirm that Fluet was a member of a gang, and only said that the two victims were men in their 40s, and that one had gang affiliations.
