There could soon be labour peace at Montreal's Old Port.
In a press release Monday, the union representing 300 striking workers said it has reached an agreement in principal with their employer and will recommend its members accept the offer.
Workers have been on strike since May, looking for an increase in entry-level wages and better working conditions.
In September the unionized employees rejected a mediator-arranged deal.
Both sides agreed not to release details on the agreement until after a ratification vote on Wednesday.
The Syndicat des employés du Vieux-Port de Montréal represents employees at the Science Centre, the Old Port skating rink, and other locations in the Old Port.
