As planned, Operation Nez Rouge has exceeded its goal of 10,000 rides on weekends in Quebec.
On Saturday evening, volunteers from the 61 participating communities safely drove home nearly 5,700 motorists.
More than 12,300 rides were made during the last two evenings, making it the busiest weekend of the current operation.
In total, some 8,700 volunteers lent their services this weekend.
The organization is also renewing its appeal to potential volunteers, noting that several other evenings will be very busy by December 31st.
