Just before 5:00 A.M. Transport Quebec made it official, your drive along Highway 20 west through the Turcot Interchange now looks very different.

As of today motorists exiting the Ville-Marie tunnel will be forced left and down to the new lower Route 136. The elevated portion of the Expressway will be demolished.
Along with the new look comes some trouble just getting on the highway.
The Fort and Lucien L'Allier entrances to the westbound Ville Marie are closed until 2019. The only way onto Route 136 on the west side of downtown will be via a new temporary entrance ramp near Rose-de-Lima on Saint-Antoine.

The entrances at Monk St. and Notre Dame St. for Highway 20 West now no longer exist and the Saint-Jacques St. exit (Exit 2) is also closed.
Mixed in with the closures is a new loop around for motorists heading southbound on the Decarie Expressway looking to go west.
The bit of good news buried in the list of closures and new configurations, a ramp connecting Highway 15 northbound and Highway 20 will re-open in a temporary configuration.
