The new West Island Cancer Wellness Centre has opened its doors.
Staff and volunteers are inaugurating the new building in Kirkland today, that was funded entirely by private donations.
The building is three times bigger than the old centre in Beaconsfield.
One of the people who've used the centre's services is Linda Massarelli.
"If today I'm doing so well, so happy and so healthy, yes the hospital provided that, the CLSC, the pharmacy... but this is where they saved me, this is where they put me back together again," Massarelli told CTV Montreal.
600 people will be able to take advantage of the centre's service every year.
