Parc Safari in Hemmingford, south of Montreal, is inviting Quebecers to pick a name for its new arrival, a giraffe born November 8th.
The female giraffe is growing fast, now weighing 200 pounds, and standing six feet, three inches tall.
Parc Safari says her safe delivery was a relief and a joy, as the animal's father, Molson, succumbed to complications of old age last spring. The baby will be raised by her mother, Kigalie.
The safari park has narrowed the naming possibilities to two: Victoire and Stella.
Quebecers can vote on the Parc Safari Facebook page, and will become eligible to win prizes, including a private encounter with the baby giraffe and her mother.
