An N.D.G. woman is hoping someone can help her have a happy ending to her very busy and heartbreaking Halloween.
Norma Williams-Forlini told the Aaron Rand Show that nearly 200 kids stopped by her home on Wilson Ave. between Upper Lachine and Saint-Jacques Blvd. and one of them may have inadvertently gone home with the diamond from her engagement ring.
"Kids were arriving sooner than I thought, so I just punched the box [of chips] to open it and I feel that where the diamond came loose" she said.
Williams-Forlini and her family searched in and around her home with flashlights for hours after she realized it was missing.
"It's more sentimental value than anything else, but it's dear to me. My husband passed away five years ago and we were so close, everything associated with him is dear to me" Williams-Forlini said.
Norma's daughter Lori put a call for help out on Facebook asking parents whose children trick-or-treated in the area to check their stash and contact her if anyone finds the diamond.
"It may turn up; we're just hoping you know."
