The three-and-a-half-year-old MUHC Glen hospital site is dealing with water infiltration and flooding in its parking garage.
It seems the problem is with the expansion joints in the structure, which is allowing water to seep in through the wall.
The consortium that built the hospital — and that is, effectively, the MUHC's landlord — will cover the cost of the repair work that needs to be done, and is expected to begin in the summer. For now, it isn't clear what the repair job will cost.
It's just the latest structural issue to plague the site since it opened in 2015. The billion-dollar building has had to deal with everything from power outages to accessibility issues in the time it's been open.
