A Laval mother is livid her 12-year-old daughter waited for 10 hours to be treated at the Montreal Children's Hospital emergency room for a concussion earlier this week.
“[If I had] to wait eight hours [for the flu], I get it, because it’s a sore throat. But a head trauma? No, I will not accept that,” Judy Schafer told CTV News.
Her 12-year-old Alexandra Floyd fell down the stairs at Villa Maria Metro station, slamming her head on the edge of a step. She ended up suffering a concussion.
The McGill University Health Centre has responded with an apology, but Schafer has already filed a complaint with hospital network's ombudsman.
