A lot of Quebec cancer patients are still waiting too long to have their much-needed surgeries.
The Journal de Montréal reports 63 per cent of oncology surgeries are conducted within a month, which is said to be significantly off the provincial target.
From April 2016 to April of 2017, more than 41,400 patients underwent cancer surgeries in Quebec.
Nearly 30 per cent had to wait up to eight weeks, while 10 per cent waited even longer.
That last number is more than double the province's target.
Montreal is in the top-three of the longest wait times.
The hospitals where you'll wait the longest are the Lachine Hospital and Royal Victoria.
