Another week, another special weather statement has been issued for the Montreal and surrounding area.
The good news is Environment Canada is only predicting half as much snow as the last storm. The bad news, it could be mixed with freezing rain.
"A low pressure system with a potential of 10 to 20 centimetres of snow will affect Southern Quebec beginning Wednesday night," Environment Canada wrote in its statement. "The core of the precipitation is expected to fall as snow. There is however a risk of freezing rain for regions near Montreal, as well as near the US border."
As with any significant amount of snow or freezing rain, there may be a significant impact on your commute Thursday morning.
