The Lester B. Pearson School Board has announced some schools will be closed on Tuesday May 9th:
High Schools:
Macdonald High School - St. Anne-de-Bellevue
Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School - Pierrefonds
Riverdale High School - Pierrefonds
Elementary schools:
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary - Vaudreuil
Terry Fox Elementary - Pierrefonds
Kingsdale Academy - Pierrefonds
St. Charles Elementary - Pierrefonds
St. Anthony Elementary - Pierrefonds
Continuing Education Centres:
West Island Career Centre (WICC) - Pierrefonds
Sources Adult & Career Centre (SAAC) - Pierrefonds
All other schools in our system will reopen at their usual hours, May 9th.
In cases, says the board, where transportation remains problematic due to flooding, road and bridge closures, certain bus routes have been suspended for the day.
Schools in this circumstance will be sending a message to their parental community clarifying the situation and detailing affected bus routes.
The board adds it'll continue to monitor the situation and post any updates as soon as they're available.

Consequently, there will be no courses, no transportation and no daycare services.
The school board adds school staff that are affected by this closure are not required to go into work.
The board also says it'll inform staff, parents and students as the situation evolves.

Because of the closure of the Galipeault bridge, there will not be school transportation for students who attend schools on the island of Montreal or outside the commission's territory.
