It seems Montreal's about to get a traffic coordinator.
A report said mayor Coderre will soon make that appointment, but's not clear who it is.
The goal is to ensure traffic doesn't suffer more than it has to because of construction projects.
A noted traffic expert and former longtime CJAD traffic reporter is pleased.
"It's something, actually, I've been suggesting for quite some time that there needs to be someone who can push the levers to make sure that there isn't all this freelancing that's been going on for these many years and we need someone and certainly an individual with considerbale power who can ensure that things are done according to plan", said Rick Leckner.
Among other things, mayor Coderre recently unveiled Montreal's plan to deal with huge infrastructure needs over the next 10 years.
