A Montreal stylist says she turned down a lucrative contract to craft the "look" of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.
Annie Horth was the longtime stylist of Quebec vedette Celine Dion and still advises broadcaster Julie Snyder.
Horth tells La Presse that she got a call last December from the Trump family's photographer, who informed her that Melania wanted to hire her on a four-year contract.
Horth says she turned down the job because her values are not in alignment with those of President Donald Trump and she wasn't interested in living in New York or Washington for four years.
She also says that, from a style perspective, the work would not be interesting because most of the events the First Lady attends require a conservative look.
