The Montreal SPCA is asking for you help in tracking down the former owners of a dog that was found wounded and tied to a tree in Angrignon Park Tuesday morning.
The dog, named "Lilas" by SPCA staff, was brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan.
Lilas is being treated for a severely infected wound to the head, which the veterinary team said was likely caused by a knife.
Now the Investigations and Inspections Department of the SPCA is trying to identify Lilas or her old owners, as well as "apprehend the person responsible for this heinous act of cruelty."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPCA investigation department at inspection@spca.com or (514) 735-2711, ext. 2230.
All tips are treated confidentially.
