The City of Montreal has extended the deadline to register your pit bull.
You now have until March 31 to register your pet and until June 1 to provide documents needed to obtain the special permit for pit bull type dogs.
The city says it granted the 3 month extension because of court proceedings that suspended its new animal control by law.
The injunction, restricting parts of the legislation affecting pit bulls, was dismissed earlier this month.
It costs 150 dollars to register a pit bull in Montreal.
