Montreal police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a suspect in an assault on a 74-year-old woman on Nun's Island over the summer.
On July 7, the woman was walking with her spouse near the Place du Commerce on Nun's Island heading to the supermarket.
A cyclist zipped by, nearly clipping the woman. She told him that was dangerous but he kept going.
The woman saw the same cyclist inside the supermarket and approached him to ask him about the incident.
Police say the cyclist grabbed the woman by her hair and threw her to the ground. He took off on foot.
The victim suffered a broken elbow and a head wound that needed stitches.
The suspect is between 30-40 years of age, 5'7" and thin. He has black hair, speaks French and smokes.
At the time, he was wearing a blue tshirt and khaki shorts. He also had a black bike helmet and a beard with a few days' growth.
