The dog that attacked six people including two siblings last August in Montreal North is safe - for now.
The city of Montreal told CJAD 800 that the borough is putting off euthanizing the pitbull-type dog pending the appeal of the lawyers fighting to save him.
Daniel Goldwater who is helping Anne-France Goldwater said that the appeal should be filed "Friday or Monday and then heard the following week or the week after that."
A judge rejected their bid to stop the borough from putting down the dog.
The lawyers want the dog to be sent to a New York refuge for dangerous dogs.
