A Montreal mayoral candidate is issuing a challenge to the city's more high-profile candidates for the job.
Jean Fortier, running for Coalition Montreal, said he hopes to knock on a thousand doors this long weekend, adding Denis Coderre and Valerie Plante should do the same.
Fortier added he'll be campaigning Ahuntsic-Cartierville, NDG, Ville-Marie and Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension.
Fortier also said the long Thanskgiving weekend is an ideal time to tell citizens what's at stake and to encourage them to vote.
There was no word if Coderre, with Equipe Denis Coderre, and Plante, with Projet Montreal, accepted the challenge.
Montreal and other Quebec cities and town hold elections November 5th.
