A Villeray man is considering a legal challenge to a recent traffic ticket he received because he feels that he was the victim of an overzealous officer.
On Wednesday, Pierre Malo received a notification in the mail that he was being fined $63 because on January 22 his car licence plate was obscured by a build-up of snow.
Malo tells the Journal de Montreal that the citation refers to his car which was parked in front of his house that day and that it had snowed 12 centimetres.
He says he could understand if he had been driving with licence plate covered in snow but feels that the law should be applied differently to parked cars.
