27 people aboard an Orléans Express intercity bus had to scramble out of the bus Sunday afternoon after it caught fire.
The incident happened at around 2 p.m. on Highway 40 near Lanoraie, about 60 kilometres north-east of Montreal.
The bus was enroute to Montreal from Quebec City when flames broke out near one of the rear wheels.
No one was hurt and all the passengers were eventually brought to Montreal on another bus.
Orléans Express says it will offer compensation to its customers.
The cause of the fire is not known, but there will be an investigation.
