Budding marijuana cultivators will soon be offered a how-to course at McGill University.
The dean of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Anja Geitmann, tells the Journal de Montreal that with the impending legalization of marijuana in Canada, there will be a demand for knowledgeable growers.
Geitmann says to meet the needs, Â McGill will hold a series of workshops in May and, next winter will introduce a course offering a professional certificate with a specialization in cannabis cultivation which will be be open to students with a background in plant biology or horticulture.
She says graduates will eventually be qualified to manage industrial and commercial marijuana greenhouses.
