The man who admitted to stealing 5 million honey bees from a farm in Saint-Valere has been sentenced.
Marco Beausoleil will be under house arrest for the next five months and is on probation for nine months as well.
He must also pay $40,000, half of which will go to the family of bee farmers he stole from.
Beausoleil admitted in September he stole the buzzing honeymakers in April, 2016 from a farm owned by the Labonté family.
His brother, Yannick Beausoleil, was also accused of the theft but was acquited.
The 5 million bees and their 184 hives have never been found.
