Montreal police are investigating the second homicide of 2018.
It happened at about 9:30 P.M. Monday inside an apartment on Paxton St. near Guy in the South-West borough.
According to investigators a 52-year-old man and 52-year-old woman got into an argument and at some point it got physical.
That's when the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the man in the upper body.
When paramedics arrived at the scene they tried to resuscitate the victim but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was arrested.
The SPVMs Major Crimes unit has taken over the investigation.
