Montreal police are investigating the third homicide of the year following a shooting in Rosemont-Petite-Patrie.
According to investigators two men, who were part of a larger group, got into an argument on Chambly near Rachel at about 12:10 A.M. Thursday.
At some point during the dispute one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other in the upper body.

The suspect fled the scene.
The 29-year-old victim was rushed to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Investigators with the SPVM homicide department have been meeting with witnesses at the scene in order to help track down the shooter.
