A former Quebec premier, who's now chairman of the board of directors with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, says he's determined to maintaining respect and dignity within the orchestra.
Lucien Bouchard is speaking out following accusations of sexual misconduct against longtime conductor Charles Dutoit by orchestra musicians.
Bouchard adds Dutoit no longer has any relation with the MSO.
Bouchard points out the orchestra's executive committee decided in December to launch an independent investigation following the allegations.
Dutoit was conductor of the MSO for 25 years until 2002.
