Quebec's new marijuana-dispensing agency is giving us our first look at what its new pot shops will look like when they open for business this fall.
Customers will be greeted in the front by a security guard who'll check ID, making sure only those 18 years of age and over get in.
Once you get past the lobby, you'll enter the main area — a slick-looking area you might mistake for a Caisse Desjardins or an Apple Store, in stark contrast to the dingy basement apartments where you might have had to travel to for your pot fix in the past. There, you'll be able to make purchases, and browse their interactive stations, where you can get information on the dozens of products the store will have on offer.

The Société Québécoise du Cannabis, meanwhile, says it's hiring, both full- and part-time staff, for its stores, which will officially open on Oct. 17, the day the feds make pot legal across the country. For more information on the stores and their recruiting process, visit the SQDC's web site.
