Longueuil police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly making threats on social media against another teen.
They say the high schooler was planning to settle a score on Friday with another student with whom he had had some sort of argument the day before.
The threat was apparently serious enough that police contacted the school Thursday night to help identify the suspect, whom they arrested Friday morning.
Investigators are meeting with him now, and may lay charges.
Longueuil police, meanwhile, are reminding the public to report any kind of threatening behavior, whether or not it turns up on a social media post.
