Longueuil police are asking for help in locating a man caught on camera stealing from a pair of stores on the South Shore.
Investigators say both robberies happened within 30 minutes of each, between 5:30 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on November 26.
The man first walked up to the cashier at a hair salon on Chambly Rd., pulled out a knife and demanded she hand over all the money. With money in hand the suspect fled the scene.
Not long after, also on Chambly Rd., the thief entered a pharmacy and waited until the cashier was distracted by a customer. When the register was opened the suspect ran behind the counter, struck the cashier and made off with the cash.
The suspect was caught on camera during one of the robberies.
Police say he is a white male, about 40-years-old and is about 5'9", 200 lbs.
He has short grey hair and was wearing a grey jacket with red zipper pulls, and a pair of faded blue jeans at the time of the robberies.
