Longueuil police have named a suspect in the murder of an 18-year-old man not far from a Subway restaurant last October.
On Oct. 15, 2017, witnesses reported seeing the victim, Muhammad Adhane, sitting with his girlfriend in the restaurant on Grant St. near St. Foy Blvd., when they were confronted a man who's now been identified by police as Youcef Bouras.
The two men began fighting and the fight spilled over onto the street. The shooting is thought to have taken place a block away from the restaurant.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Bouras' arrest, and a reward of $2,000 has been posted for anyone with information leading to his arrest.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
Bouras turns 21 years old next month, stands five feet eight inches tall and weighs 135 pounds.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Longueuil police Echec au Crime line at 1-800-711-1800.
