When you're sitting around the table this long weekend, be thankful that you're not on the road because with the list of closures it won't be easy to get around town.
Work on the Mercier Bridge will force the closure of the southbound side of the bridge from Friday at 10:00 P.M. until Tuesday at 5:00 A.M. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the other side of the structure.
The ramp from Highway 20 west towards the Mercier Bridge will also be closed.
In the Turcot Interchange your options will be limited, especially during the overnight hours.
Highway 15 north will be closed in the Interchange right up until the Sherbrooke St. entrance on the Decarie Expressway starting at 11:59 P.M. Friday until 5:00 A.M. Tuesday.
During the overnight hours of the weekend that closure will be pushed further back, to de La Vérendrye.
Route 136 east, the new Ville Marie, will be closed from Turcot to de la Cathédrale/Notre-Dame.
All ramps connecting to the closed roadways will also be off limits.
Those coming in to town from the Champlain Bridge will have to deal with a partial closure, as the 15 northbound will be down to one lane from the end of the span to the next entrance (Gaétan-Laberge Blvd).
