One of Quebec's most wanted criminals has been captured after fleeing the country last spring to evade arrest on a series of drug charges.
48 year old Daniel-André Giroux, in handcuffs, was led off a plane from the Dominican Republic at Trudeau Airport Tuesday night ending 10 months on the run.
Giroux is a member of the Hells Angels who disappeared last April in the days after police executed a series of drug raids which resulted in more than 60 arrests.
The Journal de Montreal reports Giroux was arrested in Santo Domingo Tuesday morning, hustled onto a flight last evening and then transferred to a detention centre in Mascouche.
He is expected to be in court today to face charges of conspiracy, drug trafficking and gangsterism.
