With many Montrealers celebrating the holidays with their families, several organizations throughout the city were on a mission to feed the homeless.
The Old Brewery Mission served 1,000-1,500 meals per day through the holidays.
"The meal service is one of our main offerings. We serve about 400,000 meals each and every year," said Matthew Pearce, the CEO of the Old Brewery Mission.
Along with the meal, there were some activities, games, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Welcome Hall Mission served "well in excess of a thousand meals," between Dec. 24-26.
"There are dozens of volunteers, who of their own free will, give up Christmas Eve and Christmas day and come and serve others who are less fortunate than they are, and I always find that so inspiring," said Sam Watts, CEO of Welcome Hall Mission.
