Some packages of pre-packaged cooked shrimp sold at Provigo and Maxi stores, among others, are being recalled because of a potential risk of bacteria.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the product in question is 300g bags of pre-packaged cooked shrimp (56/65 Shrimp per pound). The product may contain raw shrimp, which could contain harmful bacteria. The UPC code on the packages is 0 60249 00927 1, and the expiry date appears to be Oct. 20, 2018.
The product was sold across the country at Loblaw banner stores, including Provigo, Maxi, Maxi & Cie and Club EntrepĂ´t stores in Quebec.
If you've purchased the product, you're being advised to dispose of it, or bring it back to where you bought it.
No illnesses have been reported through consumption of this product.
