CJAD800 mid-morning show host Leslie Roberts announced Tuesday that he be will be leaving CJAD 800 at the end of the month to start a new venture.
Leslie says he is making the decision for "professional and personal reasons" and has accepted a position as editor-at-large for a travel website.
CJAD 800 Program and News Director Chris Bury called Leslie's departure a loss, " Leslie is experienced, level-headed, smooth. He's able to handle breaking news as well as anyone. He can also tap into his emotional and human side to connect to listeners. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Leslie for two years."
Roberts' final show will be December 21st. Both he and Bury have suggested that he could have a role on the station in the future — contributing commentary on travel, wellness or news.
Leslie is the son of former CJAD 800 morning man Bill Roberts and grandson of his namesake Leslie Sr. who was an editorialist at CJAD 800 between 1970 and 1980.
