Another high-profile Quebecer has made a sexual assault complaint against disgraced Just for Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon.
Television host Julie Snyder — who used to be married to media mogul and former Parti Québécois leader Pierre Karl Péladeau — has filed a complaint with Montreal police at Station 22, alleging Rozon assaulted her several years ago.
Her company, Productions J, would not elaborate further on the incident.
Last week, Rozon, who founded the Just for Laughs empire in the early 1980s, stepped down as head of the organization after several women told Le Devoir that they had been sexually harassed and/or assaulted by Rozon. Several have filed criminal complaints.
On Saturday, Snyder said her company would no longer work with Just for Laughs in the wake of the allegations against Rozon.
