A book-labelling project to make it easier for people to find the items at the city of Montreal's librairies cost $2M, has taken 10 months and 31 workers so far - but will have to be partially redone.
The Journal de Montreal reports workers found out the ink was wearing off the labels.
Now they have to reprint 140,000 out of the 700,000 labels.
The printers and new labels already cost the city over $15,000.
That doesn't include the overtime needed to do the work but the city says it's included in the initial budget.
The city says it didn't test the printing and labelling first because they were already used elsewhere - but inside books and so they weren't exposed to sunlight.
It also says it shouldn't delay the completion of the project expected by the end of next month.
