Kahnawake Peacekeepers have filed charges against a 21-year-old man behind the wheel during a fatal accident on Saturday that left two passengers dead and three others with severe injuries.
The man faces a slew of charges including several counts of dangerous driving causing death or injury, and of impaired driving.
The car slammed into a guard railĀ on Veterans Blvd. during the overnight hours on Saturday.
Two male passengers, aged 18 and 20 years old, were confirmed dead at the scene.
The three injured passengers are all women from Chateauguay.
One, an 18 year old, is still in intensive care at the Montreal General Hospital with a fractured spine and will require additional surgery, according to the peacekeepers
A second 18-year-old woman remains heavily sedated with severe head, neck and other injuries. She is said to be responsive.
The third victim, a 19-year-old woman, was left with a fractured arm, cuts, and bruises.
