A Boeing 757 operated by Icelandair made an emergency landing last night .... at Bagotville Airport in Saguenay.
A porthole window in the cockpit of the aircraft cracked during flight, forcing the plane to land.
The pilot is said to have warned passengers to "prepare for landing" before carrying out a rapid descent and dropping 26,000ft - nearly 8,000 metres - in just 10 minutes.
The plane was on it's way from Orlando, Florida to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
The passengers were evacuated without incident and were transported to nearby hotels to spend the night.

On its website, Icelandair apologized for the inconvenience and provided updates via Twitter Saturday morning.
The 155 passengers and 7 crew were taken to a hotel for rest and another aircraft will pick them up later today.
